Job summary

Schwartz Brothers Bakery is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and ongoing equipment upkeep to support high-volume bakery production.

You will balance hands-on technical work with team leadership, plan preventative maintenance, and drive process improvements across electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing or food production preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians.
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

What you'll do

As our Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be a key leader on the floor—balancing hands‑on technical work with team leadership and coordination.

• Lead, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians
• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively
• Prioritize daily maintenance needs in partnership with production
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
• Support and maintain systems including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
• Oversee boiler operations, safety checks, and routine maintenance
• Train team members and help build a strong, reliable maintenance team
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance
• Partner with leadership on process improvements and equipment upgrade

• Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Electrical systems (including 3-phase power)
• Plumbing and general mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions under pressure

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment
