The role requires 8–10 years in manufacturing maintenance, supervisory experience, and expertise in hydraulics, PLCs, and automation. Occasional after-hours support is expected to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • 3–5 years supervisory experience.
  • Strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, machining.
  • Strong background with PLC controls and variable speed drives.
  • Familiar with ISO and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support and follow Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Supervise Maintenance Department functions to support manufacturing of cast stretch film.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be willing to work non-standard hours.
  • Review KPI’s and prepare monthly production and equipment performance reports.
  • Develop training manuals for maintenance staff.
  • Oversee technicians’ timesheets, overtime, and performance reviews.
  • Analyze downtime and monthly performance reports.
  • Manage spare stock purchasing and SSA inventory.
  • Assign and monitor engineers’/technicians’ schedules and projects.
  • Execute capital and special projects; coordinate with production and shipping.
  • Evaluate contractors and vendors for maintenance support.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation and ISO procedures.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Production for PMs and major repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement for equipment reliability and product quality.

TITLE:

Maintenance Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for managing the plant maintenance and projects in a cost effective and safe manner that will maximize equipment uptime.

This position demands a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership skills.

Education & Experience
  • Associates or Technical Degree
  • 8-10 years’ experience working in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience
  • Strong background with PLC controls and variable speed drives.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with process automation and robotics.
  • Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for supporting and following Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Supervise and manage Maintenance Department functions to support manufacturing of cast stretch film.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
  • Review and track key KPI’s to meet Plant & Corporate goals including monthly production and equipment performance reports.
  • Develop training manuals for maintenance department.
  • Serves as the direct supervisor of maintenance technicians in approving timesheets, overtime & performance reviews.
  • Analyze downtime and reports and monthly performance reports, etc.
  • Manage spare stock purchasing & store stock application (SSA).
  • Assign and oversee engineers’ and technicians day-day work schedule / projects and monitor progress through the Word Order System.
  • Execute and manage implementing of special projects & capital projects.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with production, plant office, and Shipping
  • Conducts engineering evaluations of contractors and vendors in regard to maintenance support
  • Maintains optimal level of maintenance and electronic parts
  • Ensures preventive maintenance schedules are met
  • Ensures mechanical and electrical technicians are properly trained
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Should be available for On-call as equipment issues arise after work hours.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies into product specification applications.
  • Manage spare stock purchasing & inventory and ordering parts.
  • Must know and follow all ISO procedures for Maintenance Section.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S followed.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Production for scheduled P.M. and major repair.
  • Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
  • Perform equipment abnormal analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
  • Facilitate general building maintenance and repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
