About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and reliability operations at one of Reworld's high-performing waste-to-energy power generation facilities. This role is ideal for maintenance leaders with experience in power plants, waste-to-energy, utilities, heavy industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, pulp and paper, refining, or other continuous-process environments. Candidates with expertise in asset management, reliability engineering, rotating equipment, boilers, turbines, electrical and instrumentation systems (E&I), predictive maintenance, outage management, CMMS, and continuous improvement can make an immediate, lasting impact. Reporting directly to plant leadership, the Maintenance Manager will be a key member of the site's leadership team, responsible for driving safety, reliability, workforce development, and long-term asset performance.

At Reworld, you'll have the opportunity to lead critical infrastructure that powers communities while advancing sustainability by converting waste into renewable energy. Beyond managing maintenance activities, you'll help shape site strategy, influence capital investment decisions, develop skilled maintenance professionals, and drive reliability improvements that directly impact plant performance. We offer the stability of an essential infrastructure business, meaningful leadership responsibility, strong compensation and benefits, career growth opportunities, and the ability to make a visible difference within both the facility and the communities we serve.

The Maintenance Manager provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for all maintenance and reliability activities across the site. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, and EHS leadership, the successful candidate will lead teams of Mechanics, Welders, and Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians while overseeing maintenance planning, outage execution, predictive and preventive maintenance programs, reliability initiatives, budgeting, workforce planning, and continuous improvement efforts. This role offers the rare opportunity to combine hands‑on operational leadership with long‑term asset strategy in an industry that is essential, environmentally beneficial, and positioned for continued growth.

Key Objectives

  • Partner closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams, with a goal of zero incidents and continuous EHS performance improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve productivity and efficiency, and control maintenance costs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance and reliability best practices are consistently followed across the site
  • Provide leadership and expertise during events impacting site safety, health, and environmental performance
  • Plan, develop, and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to improve equipment reliability, reduce operating costs, and optimize labor and material utilization
  • Lead the selection, assignment, coaching, development, and performance management of maintenance personnel
  • Manage maintenance shops comprising mechanical and E&I crafts
  • Forecast maintenance staffing needs and support hiring and workforce planning
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 5year site maintenance strategy
  • Establish and maintain a maintenance metrics dashboard to drive performance and prioritize improvement initiatives

  • Build and sustain a strong costmanagement structure that identifies short and longterm costreduction opportunities
  • Lead the site Work Management Program (WMP) to ensure costcompetitive planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Support and optimize the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and related tools
  • Provide leadership and direction for outage planning and execution, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Drive reliability improvements using root cause analysis and preventive/predictive maintenance strategies
  • Inspect operating equipment to ensure conformance with operational and safety standards
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality functions to resolve maintenance issues and improve equipment performance
