Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its Harrisburg, PA site. You will lead a maintenance team, manage CNC milling center operations, and drive reliability and safety across the plant.

Responsibilities include strategic maintenance planning, scheduling, and collaboration with engineering on projects. Eight to ten years of maintenance leadership experience and PA driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight to ten years of progressive experience in maintenance management or a related field, with a proven track record in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Possession of a current and valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required to facilitate on-site mobility and operational needs.
  • Equivalent combinations of relevant education, certifications, and hands-on experience will be considered.

  • Manage inventory control for maintenance spare parts, including ordering and supplier relations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

Job Summary
Primary Duties
  • Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans aligned with the directives of the Plant Superintendent and Director of Manufacturing to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse maintenance team consisting of technicians, a machinist, and support staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning, high performance, and accountability.
  • Oversee the CNC production milling center operations, ensuring timely delivery, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards while providing coaching and technical guidance to machinists.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance scheduling in close collaboration with manufacturing supervisors, effectively prioritizing repair and preventive maintenance activities to support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Review and contribute to the enhancement of company safety policies with particular attention to maintenance-related procedures; ensure department-wide compliance and conduct regular training initiatives to promote a culture of safety.
  • Facilitate ongoing technical training programs for maintenance staff to keep pace with evolving manufacturing technologies and equipment advancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leadership on equipment projects, including rebuilds, improvements, and new equipment design, providing expert input to optimize functionality and maintenance considerations.
  • Manage inventory control for maintenance spare parts, overseeing ordering processes, budget compliance, and supplier relationships to ensure availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance operational performance.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the plant and maintenance operations.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret technical documentation, maintenance records, safety regulations, and complex operational data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of producing comprehensive reports and effectively engaging with senior management, team members, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills to identify root causes of equipment failures and develop sustainable corrective actions.
  • Mathematical proficiency including the application of algebra, geometry, ratios, proportions, and measurements relevant to maintenance engineering and operational processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical instructions, diagrams, and abstract variables to effectively plan and execute maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing diverse teams, setting performance standards, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Strong organizational abilities with experience in inventory management, purchasing procurement, and resource allocation.
Education / Experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,100.00 to $138,500.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
