Job summary

Winland Foods, Inc. in Buckner, KY is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the plant maintenance department, oversee repair and preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

The role requires 7+ years of maintenance experience, 3+ years of supervisory work, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. You will manage budgets, mentor staff, and ensure GMPs and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years Supervisory / Management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, Production Operations Management or equivalent field of study OR equivalent highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and work knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems; PLC knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; ability to define problems and resolve quickly.
  • Strong computer applications skills, network and PC business software.
  • Basic mathematical and statistical skills; basic financial understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the plant maintenance department to ensure reliable operation of machines, tools and equipment.
  • Direct maintenance team leaders and hourly staff to meet safety, quality, cost and customer service goals.
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Ensure GMPs and a professional appearance of facilities; maintain inventory of standard replacement parts.
  • Coordinate inspections, certifications and compliance with environmental, safety and food safety requirements.
