Maker's Pride in McComb, OH seeks a Maintenance Lead I to ensure equipment reliability, perform PMs, and lead maintenance technicians. You will coordinate repairs, document activities, and act as a liaison between production leadership and maintenance.
The role includes mentoring junior staff and stepping in for the maintenance supervisor as needed. The position requires hands-on maintenance leadership with electrical and mechanical repair skills, experience reading schematics, and CMMS

We are providing a sign-on bonus for every new hire starting as a Maintenance Lead I at the McComb, OH facility. The payout is broken down as below:
Maintenance Lead I: $5000k - 50% on 1st pay, 50% in 90 days
Responsible for equipment reliability, including, but not limited to: performing PM's, work orders and other emergency repairs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or yourself. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained to produce a wide variety of products. Additionally, this position will act as a liaison between Production leadership and maintenance technicians with the coordination of repairs. Will regularly participate in inspecting equipment, structures or material; work on all requests for the various types of maintenance work assigned. This role will also act as a fill-in for the maintenance supervisor.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Knowledge of:
Knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance Knowledge of root cause analysis and breakdown analysis Knowledge of PM practices and why it is necessary.
Skill In:
Proficiency in Mechanical repairs on processing equipment Fabrication with use of TIG and MIG welders, Lathe, Mill, Drill Press, Bench Grinder, Band Saw, Shear, Break, Press, and other shop and hand tools Read and interpret documents such drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, as well as equipment manuals. Solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Electrical Knowledge including AC/DC circuits, motor controls including VFD's preferred Read and interpret electrical drawings Use electrical test instruments such as volt/ohm/milliamp-meter, amp probe and megger preferred Multi-tasking while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Ability to: Communicate efficiently, analyze, lead, work effectively with all levels of the organization Be detail-oriented, self-directed, have strong self-confidence and excellent oral communication skills Proficiency in: MS Office - Outlook and Excel, and CMMS systems such as EAM, MVP, etc.
Continuous production environment exposure; which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts and fluctuations in temperature Maintain harmonious working relations with employees from all departments and management from all levels Communicate effectively with all employees and management
Standing for extended periods of time Stand, walk and climb stairs on a frequent basis Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
1-3 years minimum in a leadership role 3 - 7 years of related work experience (food industry is a plus) Strong electrical troubleshooting up to 480V desired
Employee shall follow factory safety & environmental objectives and targets; follow the plant safety rules, report incidents and near misses immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and take personal ownership of the Safety in their area - to include the safety of visitors and contractors. The employee will also take action to reduce negative environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water and will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)
Employees shall follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets; follow Good Manufacturing Practices, report food safety and quality issues immediately and maintain compliance with regulations. The employee will also understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply
