Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead for OPW Retail Fueling in Smithfield, NC. You will lead maintenance technicians, provide hands-on guidance for repairs, and ensure equipment reliability to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial maintenance and 2+ years in a leadership role, with strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus PLC and CMMS experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (tech degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and automation.
  • Basic PLC systems troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support maintenance technicians to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Provide hands-on guidance for complex repairs and troubleshooting.

  • Work with production supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis for recurring failures.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Utilize CMMS to track work orders and plan maintenance schedules.
  • Track KPIs like uptime, MTTR, and MTBF.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement lean manufacturing and preventive maintenance strategies
  • Track and improve KPIs such as uptime, MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
Required Qualifications
  • No history of repeated or severe disciplinary action for violation of OPW company policy.
  • Ability to listen and take direction by supervisory staff is key.
  • Satisfactory completion of all required training programs as mandated by management.
  • Satisfactory completion of a 30‑60‑90‑day review program.
  • High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and automation.
  • Basic PLC systems troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Work Environment
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing floor.
  • Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Requires standing, lifting, climbing, and use of PPE.
  • May require rotating shifts, overtime, or on‑call availability.
