Job summary

Novolex in Franklin Park, IL is hiring a Maintenance Lead to safely sustain building and production equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and coordinate with leadership to meet safety and maintenance standards.

The role requires leadership, tool proficiency, and the ability to operate shop equipment on daily shifts, with opportunities for training and growth within a leading packaging company.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong leadership skills.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and Pactiv certification required; training provided.
• Must be able operate the lathe, mill, and shop tools as required.
• Must be able operate shop-welding equipment as required.
• Good performance, safety and attendance records.
• Ability to provide outstanding Safety, Performance and Attendance.
• Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Policy rules, CDC rules and have a team-oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor motors and drive systems; diagnose electrical and electronic faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production equipment.
• Complete general repairs to buildings and structures as required.
• Learn tool changes and machine setups on production and packaging equipment.
• Communicate shift-change information to team members and Maintenance Leadership.
• Follow written PM schedules and safety procedures with minimal supervision.

Job Description

Maintenance Lead|Franklin Park, IL|HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Compensation: Starting range from $30.00 up to $51.00 per hour based on experience

Available Shift: 7am-7pm 7pm-7am

Job Overview: Safely and effectively provides support to facility to ensure building(s) are properly maintained and are kept in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of AC & DC motors and drives systems
• Ability to isolate electrical and electronic problems
• Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of production equipment
• Completes general repairs to buildings and structures as required
• Ability to learn tool changes and machine setups on production and packaging equipment
• Effectively communicate information to other Team Members at shift change and to Maintenance Leadership using Work order documents or logbook
• Ability to learn & follow written procedures as they relate to work orders, PM schedules, and Process Safety Management maintenance procedures with minimal follow-up from leadership
• Possess a working knowledge of multi meters, amp meters and various test equipment is helpful
• Understand and follow safe work rules in regards to cutting and welding, operating shop equipment and conducting mechanical and electrical repairs
• Must learn & follow all department and plant policies and procedures

• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required
• Ability to work any shift and rotate through on-call schedule
• Must be able to safely operate forklifts and man lifts as required
• Minimum 2 years of completed technical school
