Job summary

Owens Corning Foundation in Fairburn, Georgia seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of maintenance areas. This role requires the ability to manage a team of 10-20 employees while maintaining safety and minimizing hazards.

The ideal candidate will possess an engineering degree or equivalent experience along with 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. CMRP certification and familiarity with SAP are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS, preferably SAP.
• Union workforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and efficient operation of areas under responsibility.
• Maintain a risk-reduction mindset, seeking to eliminate hazards.
• Review maintenance work for accuracy and completion.
• Efficient scheduling of the workforce to optimize efficiency.

• Work varying shifts including weekends.
• Maintain costs within allowable budget.

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the areas under his/her responsibility. This includes ensuring the safety, scheduling, supervision, and training of his/her work force. As a member of the maintenance leadership team he/she must be able to use available metrics and data to continuously improve operations to achieve the Fairburn Plant operational goals.

Reports to: Maintenance Leader

Span of Control : 10-20 Primary Maintenance Employees

Job Responsibilities

• Live the OC safety stand, placing your safety and the safety of the technicians first
• Maintain a risk-reduction mindset, seeking to eliminate hazards throughout the plant
• Review maintenance work for accuracy and completion
• Efficient scheduling of the work force to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
• Use metrics to measure results and demonstrate the ability to take appropriate action for continued improvement
• Create a team environment
• Ability to work varying shifts when required including weekends.
• Maintain costs within allowable budget
