Lief Labs in Valencia, CA is seeking a Maintenance Lead who will provide hands-on guidance to maintenance technicians and mechanics, help troubleshoot equipment issues, reinforce standard work, and improve reliability while supporting daily production and quality goals.

This non-supervisory, individual-contributor role emphasizes technical mentorship, teamwork, continuous improvement, safety procedures, and collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, and the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance technician or mechanic experience.
• Familiarity with cGMP, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to maintenance technicians and mechanics.
• Support work orders, preventive maintenance, tooling, equipment readiness, and inventory checks.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
• Participate in daily huddles and communicate progress and needs.
• Deliver hands-on training and identify skill gaps.
• Support continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and quality investigations.
• Reinforce safety procedures, standard work, and maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance Supervisor to meet goals.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This is an active manufacturing-floor role requiring extended standing, walking, bending, and crawling. Must frequently lift or move 10–50 pounds and have close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. No travel required.
