Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Inventory Control Clerk based in Nampa, ID.

Requirements

As a Maintenance Inventory Control Clerk, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to purchasing inventory and PDM items in a timely manner to provide materials to the site. The role includes proactively monitoring critical spare parts levels and usage, ensuring inventory levels are accurate, and working with vendors to resolve inventory related issues. Additionally, the Maintenance Inventory Control Clerk will collaborate with the Associate Maintenance Manager to align duties with the company's goals and values.

From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Routinely update parts information and review minimum/maximums to optimize inventory levels according to usage.
  • Monitor routine and critical spare part usage and inventory. Reorder stocked inventory. Ensure best pricing from vendors while proactively managing order points to ensure best freight costs.
  • Review PO's, ensure price accuracy and partner with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with maintenance managers to determine obsolete inventory while also ensuring proper disposal of obsolete parts.
  • Monitor on-time delivery of ordered items. Receive parts shipments, ensure orders are correct and all parts are properly stored in the correct locations.
  • Partner with service providers to ensure the repair of used/damaged inventory.
  • Assist with the purchasing of non-inventory related items.
  • Partner with storeroom clerk and other team members to ensure storeroom and work area cleanliness.
  • Update inventory sign-out sheet and back-up inventory. Make adjustments when necessary.
  • May participate in annual inventory cycle counts.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues.
  • Proactively elevate all issues to Assistant Maintenance Manager as needed.
  • Provide clerical support to maintenance department as needed.
  • Adhere to all GMP and QC policies when in plant production areas.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High school's diploma is required. Associate degree from a two-year or technical school in a related field is preferred.
Experience
  • 1+ years related experience is required.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience and familiarization with maintenance materials and parts is strongly preferred.
  • Maintenance Technician experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
Certifications and specific knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory control software, Maximo is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts and maintenance inventory control processes.

This is largely a sedentary role sitting at a computer for an extended period; However, this would require the ability to move around within an office and production environment and bend or stand as necessary. Regularly communicates with others both verbally and in writing to convey information.

Plant Office: This job operates in a manufacturing office environment with moderate noise and distractions in an open office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and fax machines and requires interaction with others on a regularly basis. When moving about the production area may encounter areas that are cold, wet, slippery, obstructed, and loud and will be required to wear safety attire or protective gear.
