Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a warehouse associate for our distribution center. You will clean floors and restrooms, restock supplies, and support general warehouse tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

You must be able to lift 20–60 pounds, follow safety procedures, and use PPE as required. The role is in a non-air conditioned warehouse environment with potential exposure to heat and variable conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some related work experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the building using vacuum cleaners and cleaning cloths.
• Cleans restrooms and restocks paper and soap.
• Removes minor clogs in restroom plumbing appliances.
• Empties trash and bags trash for disposal.
• Must be safety conscious and watch for hazards.
• Operates power equipment to buff floors and shampoo carpets.
• Wears required PPE, such as safety shoes and glasses.
• Performs other general warehouse duties as needed.

Firearms Positions

Requires the handling of ammunition and/or firearms. Powered Industrial Truck Positions

Requires the operation of a Powered Industrial Truck that will be used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier materials. Extra precaution, safe truck operation and procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Team member must have an active PIT Certification (provided by Academy) in order to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
