Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a maintenance mechanic to ensure safe and effective maintenance across plant equipment. The role includes preventative maintenance, assisting other departments during major problems, and completing scheduled and unscheduled tasks under supervision.

The candidate should be capable of working weekends when needed, possess strong English communication skills, and be comfortable in hot and cold environments. Lifting up to 100 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends, or as needed.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Must have some related maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand.
• Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur.
• Completes all assigned tasks scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and monitor equipment areas for safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• This position ensures all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment that is assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand.
• Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur

Functional Requirements

• Completes all assigned tasks scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Includes but is not limited to the assistance of all maintenance areas of the plant, ensuring that all assigned areas of the maintenance department areas are being monitored and documented as required by safety, food safety, company policy, & procedures

Key Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills:

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 90 days of employment;
• Paid time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

• Base pay range of $27.90- $34.90
