Job summary

Valero Energy is seeking a Maintenance Helper II at the Memphis refinery. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, reading P&IDs, and performing calibrations.

You must be able to work on-site and be comfortable with overtime as an hourly nonexempt employee. The position emphasizes safe, environmentally responsible practices and a collaborative, team-based culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.
• Possesses a basic understanding and application of instrumentation math, and units of measurement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation.
• Maintains and troubleshoots various types of solenoid valves, switches, meters, indicators, and temperature sensors.
• Uses test equipment and performs routine calibrations.
• Demonstrates ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and wiring schematics.
• Performs work activities in a safe and environmentally sound manner
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
