Job summary

Healthcare-Sc-LL is seeking a Maintenance Helper to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and electrical equipment in our plant. You will install, inspect, dismantle, and replace components, track parts, and support production teams to keep equipment running smoothly.

The role requires practical experience operating manufacturing machinery, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety

Overview

Maintenance Helper is responsible for carrying out various maintenance tasks, typically in a manufacturing environment. They install and inspect machines and electrical equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Demonstrates safe working habits, technical capacity, results driven, thoroughness, attention to detail, collaboration skills, communication proficiency and flexibility.
