Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Maintenance Group Leader at the General Motors Wentzville plant to oversee skilled trades, lead daily maintenance operations, and drive equipment reliability.

You will mentor union technicians, plan repairs and preventive maintenance, and promote safety while partnering with plant leadership to minimize downtime.

This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Requires 1-2 years of experience in a management role of union employees.
• Must be able to work evenings.
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage as part of a larger team or manage function independently, without direct supervision.
• The ability to multi-task is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop skilled trades employees to support safety, productivity, and performance goals.
• Plan and direct daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct team meetings and communicate daily priorities and operational updates.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and plant safety standards.
• Support hiring, training, employee development, and performance management activities.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics, labor utilization, and operational trends to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and client expectations.
