Job summary

Alpha Project is seeking a Worker/Laborer in San Diego to perform general labor on diverse work crews, including maintenance and clean-up tasks. The role provides on-the-job training and requires adherence to safety requirements in line with federal, state, and local guidelines.

Responsibilities include weed abatement, encampment cleanups, litter/police graffiti control, painting and related maintenance tasks, under supervision of the Work Programs Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Combined two years of lived experience with at least one year of manual labor.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Bag items into trash bags and load into trucks and dumpsters.
• Cut and rake landscape; climb ladders; operate hand tools and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a safe work environment.
• Report safety or equipment concerns to supervisor or program manager.
