Primary Purpose

Under general supervision, maintain AISD grounds in an appearance of excellence to include, but not limited to: mowing, trimming, and picking up trash.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Certification / License: Valid Driver’s License (preferred)
• Special Knowledge/Skills: General knowledge of landscape maintenance; knowledge of the Maintenance Department’s organization and operation; ability to perform responsibilities under general supervision; organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; ability to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently; general knowledge associated with the given craft.

Work Conditions

• Mental Demands: Frequent changes in tasks; Irregular work hours/schedule
• Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must work in all weather conditions day/night; exposure to hazardous chemicals/fuels; high noise level exposure frequent; ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly; frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and moving objects; regular attendance is essential.

Minimum Experience

One year experience in lawn maintenance or related field is preferred.
