State of Alaska is seeking a Maintenance Generalist, Journey for the Division of Juvenile Justice at the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility. The role performs installation, maintenance, and repair of building components and systems in a 24-hour secure facility, and also provides janitorial services for the site and surrounding grounds.

Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with safety and security requirements and a comprehensive background check.

Division of Juvenile Justice – Maintenance Generalist, Journey

Observing strict safety and security requirements, this position will independently perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of building components and systems at the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility, a secure institutional setting. Additionally, it performs janitorial services for the facility and surrounding grounds.

Working Environment You Can Expect

This position is located within the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility which is a 24-hour secure facility located at 405 Marathon Road in Kenai. This is a full-time position with work hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This includes a lunch period from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Background Check

The successful candidate must pass a comprehensive background investigation, which includes a state and FBI fingerprint-based background check.
