Job summary

Our Little Chute, WI plant is seeking a Maintenance General to keep the line running and compliant with safety rules. You’ll work 2-2-3 nights, 6pm–6am, and earn a starting rate of $30.33/hour plus a $1.50 night premium.

Two pay increases within a year keep compensation rising, plus Sunday double time and a comprehensive benefits package. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, install and repair equipment, and collaborate with production to minimize downtime while maintaining

• Minimum one year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required and ability to follow written instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Install, update and repair machinery.
• Coordinate with production to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
• Repair valves and pumps; perform basic wiring and pipe fitting.
• Handle equipment and chemicals safely; follow safety procedures.

What you’ll be responsible for each day:

The Maintenance General position is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules/regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair and upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, update and repair equipment.
• Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining high quality.
• Repair or replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic pipe fitting as directed.
• Handle all equipment and chemicals safely.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a good working knowledge of all process areas in the plant.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Safety Protocol
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

The individual who will own this role:

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Required:

• Minimum one (1) year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.

Skills Required:

• Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to apply logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

• Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 95 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry.
