Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Facility Maintenance Representative to help create a positive member experience by keeping a fully functioning fitness facility.

The role covers hands-on maintenance, tool use, issue detection, and support for senior technicians. Travel between Planet Fitness locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties is required, with focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in at least 2 of basic plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Trade background preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong listener with initiative and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Efficiency with hand tools and occasional power tools.
• Identify issues that may need preventative maintenance.
• Fixing items between multiple Planet Fitness facilities in Pinellas/Hillsborough.
• Assist senior tech with jobs requiring more than one person.
• Maintain gym, tanning, hydromassage equipment, toilets, showers, TVs and ceilings.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiency with various hand tools and occasionally power tools
• Problem solving skills
• Fixing items between multiple Planet Fitness facilities in Pinellas/Hillsborough county.
• Identifying issues that could need preventative maintenance before they become major issues.
• Assist more senior maintenance tech with jobs that may require more than one pair of hands.
• Maintenance of gym equipment, tanning equipment, hydromassage equipment, toilets, showers, TVs, ceiling tiles

Qualifications/Requirements

• Knowledge in at least 2 of the following: Basic Plumbing, Basic Electrical, Basic Tile work, Basic drywall
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude!
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• Trade background preferred, but not necessary
• Strong listener with ability to find work without being directed
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
