Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Foreman for their Burgettstown facility. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance personnel, troubleshooting machinery, and analyzing equipment failures. Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a union shop (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, mechanical items related to machine operations.
  • Provide day to day supervision of maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and timely.
  • Determine schedules sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and the skill of personnel
  • Monitory inventories and condition of maintenance shop to ensure safe adequate working conditions. Order repair material and spare parts as needed
  • Analyze equipment failure to prevent future problems
  • Observes and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other test devises
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis to determine failures and implement corrective actions
  • Assist in Capital Expenditures planning by providing input regarding equipment failure history and recommending equipment upgrades
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed
  • Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results
  • Develop, implement or evaluate maintenance policy and procedures
  • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
  • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Counsel employees about work related issues and assist employees to correct job skill deficiencies
  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepares reports of findings

Union Electric Steel Corporation is seeking a MAINTENANCE FOREMAN for our Burgettstown, PA Manufacturing Plant.

The Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, mechanical items related to machine operations, will assist in troubleshooting and diagnostics of machine related issues to ensure quality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in hot/cold and dusty environments
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs
  • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
