Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You will oversee property grounds, public areas and guest rooms, and conduct preventative maintenance to keep hotel accommodations in top condition.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry knowledge with 2+ years in hotel maintenance; one year of college or trade school is a plus. Benefits include daily pay, telemedicine, health options, 401k, PTO and more.

• Two years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• One year of college or trade school equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
