Job summary

PENN Entertainment is hiring for a maintenance trades role in Baton Rouge. The position involves wiring, plumbing, painting, carpentry, upholstery, mechanical devices, and general shop duties.

Candidates may be required to obtain a gaming license and EPA refrigerant handler certification if needed. Ideal applicants have experience across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, or HVAC trades and proficiency with Microsoft Office and building management systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
• Ability to obtain a valid EPA refrigerant handlers Card if required
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite, and be knowledgeable about building management systems.
• Must be experienced in one or more of the following trades: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and/or HVAC

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
• Perform basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; maintains and monitors plumbing systems.
• Apply and prepare various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wall coverings.
• Perform basic rough and finished carpentry work in construction and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves.
• Performs upholstery work as required.
• Fabricates, repairs, and maintains mechanical devices, motors and pumps.
• Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning tool boxes, putting away tools and parts, and straightening electrical storage area.
• Installs and maintains all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, and carpet tiles.
• Run milling equipment, lathes and power tools; welds materials.
