Job summary

Amara Cay Resort in the Florida Keys is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, and to manage preventive maintenance programs. The successful candidate will help uphold safety and quality standards while supporting a guest-first culture.

You will be responsible for timely repairs, system installations, and proactive maintenance planning to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation of all hotel facilities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in hotel/resort/commercial/institutional maintenance preferred.
• HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
• Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
• Pool operation certification preferred.
• Meet minimum age requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Preventive maintenance background preferred.
• Read, write and understand English.
