Job summary

InnVentures is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Home2 Suites Anchorage, AK. You will perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on PTAC/HVAC, furniture, appliances, lighting and plumbing to keep guest areas in excellent condition.

Work includes interior/exterior painting, landscaping, and troubleshooting of key card systems, internet and TV equipment. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk all shift, with weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or property management setting preferred.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a full shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Technical training or job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, furniture, appliances, light fixtures and plumbing.
• Interior and exterior painting, landscaping and parking lot repairs.
• Troubleshoot devices such as key card systems, internet equipment and television equipment.
• Execute routine safety inspections and report/repair issues with equipment or systems.
• Respond to guest requests with urgency and a service-oriented mindset.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred. To be successful in this role, you need basic verbal and written communication skills. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift. Previous technical training or job experience is a plus. Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
