Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining fire alarm systems, emergency generators, and low-voltage cabling, while adhering to safety programs and blueprints.

Qualifications

• 2 years AS degree in electronics/electricity or 5 years field experience as an electrician.
• BICSI Installer Level 1 certification within 3 years of employment.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes (NFPA 72, NFPA 70, NEC) and electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots electrical issues and performs repairs.
• Installs wiring, outlets and fixtures according to local codes and regulations.
• Installs and maintains fire alarm systems per NFPA 72.
• Maintains electrical distribution systems per NEC.
• Maintains low voltage cabling per NEC Article 725.
• Operates and tests emergency and standby power generating systems.
