Job summary

Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO seeks a Maintenance Electrician (Full Time) to support the Building Operations department.

You will perform skilled electrical work for facilities systems, assist in safety and preventative maintenance, and help with event setup and teardown as needed. Candidates should have 3–5 years of multipurpose theatre/arena experience, with knowledge of lighting controls, emergency power, high/low voltage systems, and transformers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a multipurpose theatre/arena/stadium environment or comparable large facility.
• Experience with electrical lighting controls and fixtures, emergency power systems, test circuits, regulators, low and high voltage systems, and transformers.
• Must be a self-starter with strong verbal/written communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to obtain/hold a Journeyman electrical license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate building systems including fire/life safety, electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, switchgear), cabling and lighting.
• Ensure facilities readiness to support events and day-to-day electrical operations.
• Assist in conversion equipment support and staff training.
• Oversee operation and preventative maintenance of HVAC components.
• Review event schedules, electrical reports, inventories, and costs to optimize electrical department.
• Submit reports and work orders to the Operations Manager for approval.
• Support OSHA safety programs and ensure proper safety practices.
• Supervise and coordinate projects inside/outside the facility as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure event success.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for aiding the Building Operations department in overseeing the Electrical needs of Enterprise Center/Stifel Theater. This position under direction from the Building Operations department will be responsible for performing skilled work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of the facilities electrical systems. This position will assist in the implementation of a safety program, and a preventative maintenance plan. Provide assistance as well as direction in the preparation of all events to include but not limited to set-up, operation and tear down. Provide and assist in the coordination between staff, potential client, and promoters as needed for the successful presentation of events.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a multipurpose Theatre/Arena/Stadium environment or comparable large scale public facility. Required experience in the electrical lighting controls and fixtures, emergency power systems, test circuits, regulators, low voltage systems and high voltage systems and transformers. Must be a self starter and be able to work long irregular hours and possess good verbal and written communication and team building skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the continued maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, switchgear), cabling (data and voice, broad band) and lighting
• Responsible for the facilities readiness condition, ability to support events, and day-to-day operations within the Electrical field.
• Assists and performs skilled labor in the support of conversion equipment, training of personnel.
• Operation and preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment and components
• Review event schedules, electrical reports, equipment conditions, parts and material inventories and cost to maximize effectiveness of the electrical department.
• Submit reports and work orders to the Operations Manager for approval.
• Strong understanding, commitment, and proven implementation experience in OSHA safety programs and processes.
• Maintain proper dress attire for self and all personnel assigned as instructed by management.
• Assist and supervise the implementation and completions of all projects inside/outside of the facilities.
• Ensure that all work is preformed in accordance with good industry practices and safety regulations.
• Assist in the supervision and monitoring of contractual services as it relates to the Enterprise Center/Stifel Theater as needed.
• Ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines simultaneously.
• Assist all other departments whenever possible.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read and write at a level necessary for a successful job performance. Must hold or be capable of attaining a Journeymen’s Electrical License.
