Nucor Steel Brandenburg offers a structured Nucor Technical Academy to train individuals with a high school diploma (or GED) to become maintenance electricians within a 27-month program. Trainees will engage in classroom education combined with hands-on work under seasoned maintenance personnel.

Selected candidates will relocate to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for initial coursework and on-the-job training, then return to sponsor divisions for further semesters, with safety as a top priority throughout

Qualifications

• Safety is emphasized as the most important aspect of all jobs within Nucor.
• Training program (Nucor Technical Academy) teaches electrical maintenance fundamentals to reach a maintenance electrician level in 27 months.
• Selected candidates will relocate to Tuscaloosa for training and will return to sponsoring divisions between semesters.
