Job summary

Lignetics Inc. in Seymour, MO is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot our industrial electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure uptime. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Electrician qualification certificate.
• Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal safety commands and alarms in English in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient reading of equipment manuals and LOTO procedures in English.
• Clear English verbal skills to report malfunctions and hazards to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect electrical systems including wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
• Identify faults or hazards and troubleshoot system failures.
• Review blueprints to understand wiring placement.
• Test systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Perform maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures.
• Respond to fault requests and suggest equipment replacements.
• Write electrical maintenance reports.
• Install electrical appliances/equipment.
• Adhere to safety and performance standards.
• Assist in mechanical maintenance when needed.
• Complete PMs as scheduled.
• Complete tasks from Supervisor.
• Knowledge of PLC and drive systems.
• Interact with outside services.

Maintenance Electrician

To ensure success as a maintenance electrician, you should have high-level problem-solving skills, extensive experience working with industrial electrical systems, and excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-class maintenance electrician ensures the smooth running of a building's electrical system and resolves issues quickly and efficiently.

Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities:

• Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.

• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
• High degree of manual dexterity with good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to grasp and hold objects.
• Capable of climbing ladders and working at various heights on platforms or lifts.
• Ability to walk for frequent extended periods, sometimes on uneven surfaces
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and lifting.
