BCBSLA in Louisiana seeks an experienced Electrician to maintain electrical equipment and support facilities operations. The role reports to Facilities Manager and requires coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable power distribution and compliance with codes.

The ideal candidate has 8 years of electrical experience, including 5 years in commercial/industrial settings, and a Louisiana license is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of Electrician Assistants engaged in construction, maintenance and repair of electric power to prioritize work orders.
  • Create and implement maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment to prevent failures.
  • Plan, install, troubleshoot, repair and inspect equipment according to blueprints, drawings and codes.
  • Fulfill ad hoc projects addressing emergencies that could affect daily operations.
  • Plan, install, troubleshoot, repair and inspect data and network wiring to ensure continuous operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of responsibilities.
