Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician for 1st shift to support production and facility equipment. You will perform electrical work, maintenance and repairs, while coordinating with subcontractors for complex repairs and ensuring safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires reading schematics, handling 480V/240V/120V systems, and operating hydraulics/pneumatics with a strong emphasis on reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a heat treatment environment preferred.
• Ability to install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors and related equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems and industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a M aintenance Electrical Technician 1 st Shift in our Tucson, AZ location. The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical work, maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment in a manufacturing facility.Responsibilities include the production of banded parts meeting print and specification requirements, the care and maintenance of the equipment, interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment. The assurance of safe and healthful workplace and a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.

• Familiar with machine/ facility maintenance and repair, including machining, motor controls.
• Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. heading, rolling, drilling, heat treat, plating, band annealing, assembly and facility support.)
• Ability to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics.
• Familiar with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Familiar with VFD’s, sensors, PLC’s, controls, bus duct and bus ducts boxes
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair 480V, 240V, 120V, 24VDC, & 5VDC
• Familiar with driving a forklift and scissor lift
• Familiar with MS Office suite

• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved

• This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 – 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis.
