Job summary

Dyno Nobel seeks a Maintenance Electrical & Controls engineer to design and implement control systems for production facilities, sustaining improvements and upgrading existing processes.

You will supervise craft labor and contractors, ensure compliance with engineering standards and HSE rules, and help keep projects on budget and schedule while applying PLC, HMI and drive experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical training or college/military training in PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years in industrial manufacturing with PLC/HMI and drives experience.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

The Maintenance Electrical & Controls position will collaborate with the different operating and production departments to successfully complete designs and implementation of control systems’ projects, for the sustenance, improvements or up-grades to existing processes, facilities, and infrastructure and Supervise the craft labor and/or contractors for the fabrication, installation, and construction of all projects. supervise the craft labor and/or contractors for the fabrication, installation, and construction of all projects.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company Engineering and Design standards for the manufacture of explosives and hazardous materials.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE rules, regulations, and standards
  • Ensure design and construction meets the customers’ requirements in all aspects.
  • Ensure the overall project scope of work is within budget and schedule
What We’re Looking For
  • Education:High School Diploma or GED.
  • Documented technical training, college, or military training in PLC programming, maintenance, and trouble shooting.Experience:
  • 3+ years demonstrated skill industrial manufacturing environment in programming PLC, HMI, Frequency drives, Vision systems and trouble shooting.
  • Demonstrated skill and knowledge of Allen-Bradley and other manufacturers of PLC systems; programing, communications and trouble shooting.
  • Basic knowledge of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure throughout the plant
