Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking a Maintenance Director to ensure safe, clean, and compliant surroundings for patients and residents. The role reports to the Nursing Home Administrator and oversees the maintenance department to support quality care.

Responsibilities include repairing systems, supervising staff, maintaining fire and life-safety equipment, managing records and budgets, and staying on call for emergencies 24/7. Proficiency with the TELS platform is required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Basic training/knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems is required.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.

• Repair electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Supervise maintenance department and orient new staff.
• Maintain fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize risks.
• Keep required records and reports; assist in budget planning.
• Remain on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
• Operate on the TELS platform for Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Directors' priority is the safety and comfort of our patients and residents by providing them with well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing surroundings. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding maintenance of the nursing centers' building and grounds is essential. In this highly visible role, you will report directly to the Nursing Home Administrator.

Responsibilities include:

Repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
Provides overall supervision of the maintenance department; including orientation for new staff.
Maintains fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents
Maintains required records and reports performs budget planning
Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day
Operates on the TELS platform for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent is required; basic training/knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems is required; prior supervisory experience is required.
