Job summary

The Carriages of Rochester is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead upkeep of the residence and grounds, ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will oversee repairs, schedule maintenance, and prepare rooms for new residents.

This role requires experience in plumbing, drywall, painting, electrical, HVAC, and the ability to make independent decisions while coordinating with staff to keep a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year general maintenance experience.
• Experience with drywall, plumbing, painting, lite electrical.
• Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including minor plumbing, painting, drywall, and light electrical work.
• Maintain the residence, common areas, and grounds in a clean, safe, and well-maintained condition.
• Prepare vacant rooms or apartments for new residents.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and repair needs.
• Follow all safety, fire, and OSHA guidelines, including proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Provide safe transportation for residents to appointments, outings, and activities.
• Assist residents when entering and exiting vehicles, including use of wheelchair lifts when needed.
• Complete routine inspections and report any safety concerns or needed repairs.
• Support a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.

Maintenance Director

The Carriages of Rochester is growing our TEAM and we are looking for exceptional individuals to fill our Maintenance Director position. We take pride in providing our Residents with quality care, sensitivity, and kindness while respecting their independence.

The Maintenance Director is required to keep the residence and grounds in good repair in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations; inventory and order maintenance supplies; maintain a clean and safe environment for residents; prepare vacant rooms/apartments for new residents and respond promptly to all repair needs.
