Job summary

Avantara St. Cloud, a memory care nursing home, is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department and ensure safety, comfort, and high care standards for residents.

The role requires 5 years of maintenance leadership in a Skilled Nursing Facility, 3 years in facility maintenance, and an associate’s degree in Construction Technology or related field; a high school diploma is also accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 years of experience in facility maintenance.
• 5 years of Maintenance Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all aspects of the maintenance department.
• Ensure facility and grounds meet safety codes and standards.
• Monitor and schedule equipment and systems maintenance and respond to maintenance needs.

As a Maintenance Director you are critical in maintaining all internal and external aspects of the facility and grounds. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara St. Cloud by overseeing and supervising all aspects of the maintenance department, ensuring the facility and grounds meet all related safety codes and ensuring that equipment and systems maintenance schedules are monitored and followed. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience working in a facility maintenance capacity. Five (5) years of prior Maintenance Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting and an associate’s degree in Construction Technology or similar field is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
