Job summary

The Villas at Herscher in Illinois seeks a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with applicable standards to keep our facility safe and comfortable.

You will coordinate maintenance services, supervise staff, and report to the Administrator, ensuring compliance and effective communication with other departments to deliver reliable, high-quality resident services.

• Experience in long term care settings.
• Experience in managing a maintenance department.
• Patience, tact, pleasant disposition, and enthusiasm for resident care.

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current, federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related department. Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Long Term Care Care.

Former Maintenance Department experience.
