Job summary

Nexus at Godfrey is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee ongoing upkeep of facility systems and lead a maintenance team onsite in Illinois. The role requires coordinating schedules, training staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate manages budgets, inventories, and staffing while remaining available for emergencies. Prior nursing home experience is preferred, with a focus on resident comfort and reliability in daily operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish and follow a schedule to oversee continuous maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other systems.
• Train staff in community and state-required policies and procedures.
• Remain on-call for emergency repairs or maintenance issues.
• Maintain logs tracking maintenance of building and grounds.
• Order maintenance-related products and supplies; manage inventory and budget.
• Assist in developing the annual maintenance budget and control costs.
• Hire, schedule, and supervise the maintenance department; conduct performance reviews and related paperwork.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Establish and/or follow a schedule to oversee continuous maintenance of all systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other general duties as required to safely and properly operate the Community.
• Train new and existing staff in community and state-required policies and procedures.
• Remain on-call for emergency repairs or maintenance issues.
• Assure all necessary logs are maintained to track information regarding the maintenance of the building and grounds.
• Order all approved maintenance-related products and supplies for repairs and ongoing maintenance.
• Follow budget guidelines and procedures for ordering supplies. Assist in developing the annual maintenance budget. Maintain an effective inventory and loss control program for the supplies, parts, tools, and equipment of the Maintenance Department.
• Responsible for hiring, scheduling, and supervising the maintenance department. Also responsible for conducting performance reviews and completing and maintaining all related employee paperwork.
