Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Cumberland, RI is seeking a Maintenance Director responsible for safety and comfort of patients by maintaining facilities, grounds, and life-safety systems. You will report to the Nursing Home Administrator and lead a maintenance team.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVACR repairs; budget planning; keeping records; and being on-call 24/7. Proficiency in TELS platform preferred; long-term care experience required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Basic training/knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems is required.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Repair electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Supervise maintenance department and orient new staff.
• Maintain fire alarm and emergency generator systems.
• Maintain required records and reports and assist with budget planning.
• Be on-call for emergencies seven days a week, 24/7.
• Operate the TELS platform for Life Safety tasks.

Responsibilities

Long Term Care Experience Required

The Maintenance Directors' priority is the safety and comfort of our patients and residents by providing them with well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing surroundings. Compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding maintenance of the nursing centers' building and grounds is essential. In this highly visible role, you will report directly to the Nursing Home Administrator.

Responsibilities include:

• Repairs electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
• Provides overall supervision of the maintenance department; including orientation for new staff.
• Maintains fire alarm and emergency generator systems to minimize the potential for fire and accidents
• Maintains required records and reports performs budget planning
• Remains on-call for emergencies seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day
• Operates on the TELS platform for all Life Safety, regulatory and daily tasks

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent is required; basic training/knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVACR systems is required; prior supervisory experience is required.

Posted Salary Range

USD $33.00 - USD $34.00 /Hr.
