Job summary

Sam's Club in San Angelo, TX is hiring a Maintenance Associate to help keep the parking lot, restrooms, and floors clean and safe. You will work on your feet in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, delivering a positive first and last impression to members.

You will perform maintenance, respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and help ensure a clean, welcoming store. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, and more.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of Facility by following all safety standards and reporting unsafe situations.
• Clean all areas of the Facility (floors, restrooms, windows, trash receptacles) per procedures and using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills and operating floor scrubbers.
• Maintain appropriate levels of chemicals and supplies, rotate and store them properly, and place orders when low.
• Support Benefits and PTO offerings as described, including Live Better U education program.

What you'll do

Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management.

Cleans all areas of the Facility (for example, floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.

Ensures a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with Company Environmental Sustainability Program.

Maintains appropriate levels of Company-approved chemicals and supplies needed to ensure a safe and clean facility, including ensuring that chemical supplies are rotated and stored in proper containers in preparation for their use and placing orders to replenish supplies are low.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $24.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
