Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help shape the member experience by keeping parking lots, restrooms, and floors clean. The role involves standing and moving for long periods, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for members and associates.

You will follow safety standards, operate floor scrubbers, and assist with chemical handling while supporting a positive, service‑driven atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Clean all areas of the Facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) using approved chemicals and methods.
• Respond to spills and operate floor scrubbers to keep floors safe and clean.
• Disposal of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with Company program guidelines.
• Manage and rotate chemicals and supplies, placing orders when stock is low to maintain a safe, clean facility.

What you'll do... Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following Company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to Management. Cleans all areas of the Facility (for example, floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) while following Company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment. Ensures a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with Company Environmental Sustainability Program. Maintains appropriate levels of Company-approved chemicals and supplies needed to ensure a safe and clean facility, including ensuring that chemical supplies are rotated and stored in proper containers in preparation for their use and placing orders to replenish supplies are low.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
