Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking a Maintenance/Custodial worker to provide janitorial and maintenance services across several tribal facilities, including the ECC, Child Care Center, Health Clinic and maintenance buildings.
The role is full‑time and non‑exempt, with potential for a split shift during the ECC school year or in inclement weather. Duties cover cleaning, repairs, groundskeeping, and safety compliance.

To provide maintenance/janitorial services to the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa’s tribal buildings. These duties include custodial services, grounds maintenance, and preventative and corrective maintenance functions to be performed as needed. This is a full-time job and could be a split shift position during regular ECC school year, inclement weather or temporary fill in.

General knowledge of cleaning and maintenance of facilities preferred. Knowledge of safety practices with use of cleaning supplies and lawn and snow removal equipment preferred. Knowledge of lawn and snow removal equipment for maintenance purposes preferred. Knowledge of year-round building and ground maintenance preferred.

Must be able to do physical manual labor that would require bending twisting, reaching and lifting. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Must be physically able to perform janitorial and year-round grounds and building maintenance duties. Must be able to climb ladders, shovel snow, remove snow and ice from roofs.
Indoor – May include Early Childhood Center, Child Care Center, Red Cliff Health Clinic or other tribal buildings. Outdoor - grounds maintenance year-round, including winter snow removal / ice control. All t ribal buildings are smoke free.
The ability to travel and attend meetings and trainings locally.
