Job summary

Grifols, S.A. in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator I to coordinate maintenance activities for LA Valley & COI facilities and ensure requests are communicated, fulfilled, and documented per company and government guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in facilities or operations; cGMP experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of cGMPs, FDA regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Ability to keep neat, accurate and complete records/logs.
  • Must be proactive, results oriented, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills interacting with all levels.
  • Good computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily support to Maintenance, Planning and Operations personnel and Contractors using the SAP PM Module.
  • Acts as the principal contact between Maintenance Department and other supported departments.
  • Maintains backlog of work orders and prepares weekly backlog report.
  • Screens each work order to ensure complete description, proper authorization, and realistic priority/date.
  • Opens, updates, and closes out Work Orders/Notifications as required.
  • Works in AMMS and SAP PM for creation/modification of plans, schedules, and notifications.
  • Creates queries, reports, and PM documentation for audits.
  • Creates and schedules Recurring Preventative Maintenance Tasks (Work Orders).
  • Provides documents required for work order closeout and filing.
  • Adheres to FDA regulations and corporate safety policies.
  • Resolves Purchase Order discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
  • Creates annual Continuing Service (Blanket) Work Orders.

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintenance Coordinator I is responsible for coordinating all maintenance activities for LA Valley & COI facilities and ensure that all the requests and inquiries are properly communicated, fulfilled, and documented under company and government’s guidelines

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides daily support to Maintenance, Planning and Operations personnel and Contractors using the SAP PM Module
  • Acts as the principal contact between Maintenance Department and other departments support by Maintenance
  • Maintains backlog of work orders for pending scheduling in accordance with their priority limits and prepares weekly backlog report
  • Screen each work order to see that it has been properly filled out, discuss the details with the originating department, and ensure that the work scope is clearly described, that is properly authorized, and the priority or requested completion date is realistic
  • Opens, updates, and closes out Work Orders/ Notifications as required
  • Work in AMMS and SAP PM for the creation and modification of Maintenance Plans, Work Schedules, Notifications and Work Orders along with other transactions in support of all activities for the plants
  • Creates queries, variants, reports, refinery/ circuit KPIs and PM documentation to support various department requests and audits
  • Creates and schedules Recurring Preventative Maintenance Tasks (Work Orders) for Process and Maintenance Shops, including periodic changes
  • In accordance with standard procedure, provides all documents required for work order closeout and filing
  • Strict adherence to FDA regulations as well as corporate safety policies for procedures, practices and documentation
  • Resolve Purchase Order Commitment discrepancy with Account Payable as it occurs
  • Creates annual Continuing Service (Blanket) Work Orders
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft programs, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. is a plus.

Occupational Demands : Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck and waist. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Drives: varies may or may be required to frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Frequently performs tasks by following a set of written or oral instructions/procedures.

The estimated pay scale for Maintenance Coordinator role based i n California, is $21-23per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of th ecompanybonus pool.
