Job summary

KIK Consumer Products in Ludlow, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing/Procurement Associate to support maintenance and indirect purchasing. You will coordinate requisitions, issue POs, and interface with internal customers while upholding GMP and ethical standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), strong communication, organized work habits, and experience with MRP/inventory systems. The role offers growth within a major consumer products manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Purchase consumables to support Maintenance and operations.
• Interface with internal customers as Indirect/MRO purchaser.

• Manage supplier relationships and contracts.
• Process purchase requisitions and orders in the system.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics.

Essential Job Functions

• Purchase consumable materials to support Maintenance through Maintain X.
• Coordinate purchasing administration functions and interface as the primary Indirect / MRO interface to all internal Customer requirements.
• Drive and maintain compliance to purchasing policies and procedures so to support common Indirect / MRO strategies within a specified region and/or location.
• Support the development of sourcing strategies, alternative sources of supply, and cost reduction projects.
• Assist in the management of Supplier relationships, execute contracts, develop RFQ packages, and provide analytical support for analysis of proposals to ensure best value for purchased materials / services.
• Support and monitor key supplier performance metrics.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and overall maintenance of associated record keeping within the purchasing system.
• Strong Team focus while demonstrating the ability to operate independently within your location.
• Perform duties per GMP and customer requirements

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma highly desired.

• Must work in accordance with the Continuous Improvement Values.
• Must have strong computer skills.
• Must be extremely organized and able to function independently under pressure
• Working knowledge of MRP and computerized inventory control.
• Observing purchasing code of ethics is a condition of employment.
• Good negotiating skills.
