Job summary

Seaborne Airlines in San Juan, Puerto Rico seeks a Maintenance Operation Controller to prioritize maintenance actions, coordinate with crews and service providers, and ensure compliant, timely airworthiness of the fleet.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance control and an FAA A&P certificate, supporting fleet reliability as the company expands in the Caribbean.

Qualifications

• 3+ years aviation experience in maintenance control capacity.
• Must possess FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Experience coordinating maintenance with line stations and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize maintenance actions to maximize fleet utilization while ensuring safety.
• Notify senior leadership of abnormal conditions and act in the absence of the Maintenance Planner.
• Coordinate actions with Line Stations and contract vendors for maintenance events.
• Maintain logs of activities, deferrals (MEL, CDL, NEF) and ferry/test flights.
• Provide a quality shift turnover to the next shift.

Position: Maintenance Operation Controller

Report To: MOC Manager

Job Description

They must support those priorities in relation to the principal maintenance facility, line stations and contract agencies regarding maintenance requirements; ensuring maintenance and operational requirements are met and the timely dispatch of airworthy aircraft. Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Ensure greatest fleet utilization without compromising safety; communicate with flight crews and maintenance personnel to ascertain the nature of all in service maintenance discrepancies
• Notify the Director of Quality Control (DQC) and the Director of Maintenance Operations (DOM) of any occurrence that is out of the norm, act on behalf of the Maintenance Planner's absence.
• Initiate and coordinate actions necessary to address discrepancies of maintenance events at Line Stations and Outstations
• Issue maintenance to Outside Maintenance Vendors and maintain control of the event; maintain a log of activities and irregularities by way of a daily Maintenance
• Control Summary and the complete and accurate entries on the summary; control and issue all deferrals whether MEL, CDL or NEF and coordinate all Ferry Flights and Test Flights
• Notify the Maintenance Planner, and all other appropriate personnel, of any discrepancy, condition, or irregularity that may affect the airworthiness of the company's fleet
• This identification process is not limited to the above and applies to any non-regulatory condition that affects the overall efficient operation of the company
• Provide, and receive a quality shift turnover

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Basic Knowledge of Twin Otter DHC-6 preferred
• 3+ years aviation experience in maintenance control capacity preferred
• Must possess a valid Airframe and Power plant FAA Airman's Certificate
