Maintenance - Coliseum - Part Time Maintenance Laborer

Role: Part-Time Memorial Coliseum - Maintenance Worker

Under the direction of the Plant Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Worker performs maintenance in one of three areas: Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing, or Audio/Visual. This position is not covered by the Employee Handbook and is part-time, not eligible for benefits.

Hours vary, with nights and weekends required.

Essential Functions

Electrical

• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Change light bulbs and electrical devices (receptacles, switches, etc.)
• Set power per client specifications
• Knowledge of data networks is a plus

HVAC/Plumbing

• Basic plumbing and HVAC repairs
• Some refrigeration work

Audio/Visual

• Set up and operate sound equipment
• Identify different cables (cat 5/6, Coax, XLT, etc.)
• Repair or make cables
• Knowledge of video and theatrical lighting programming is a plus
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Basic knowledge and experience in electrical, HVAC/plumbing, or Audio/Visual
• Effective communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to learn specialized software
• Ability to understand event setup drawings
• Flexible schedule
