Three Bears Alaska is seeking Maintenance Team Members to perform janitorial services and general maintenance of a Alaska warehouse and grounds. The role includes cleaning duties, restocking, trash removal, and basic repairs with a focus on safety.

Experience in janitorial work is preferred; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred. The position offers both part-time and full-time schedules, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods.
• Reliable commute or relocation will be required.

Responsabilités

• Clean warehouse floors, offices, break room, and restrooms with floor scrubbing machinery and by sweeping, mopping, and wiping.
• Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash and manage recycling in designated areas.
• Pull slips and remove cardboard from sales floor.
• Operate compactor, baler, and cleaning equipment as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE when using equipment.
• Respond quickly to spills and coordinate cleaning.
• Maintain and repair store fixtures and grounds as required.
• Assist with front-end duties and other departments as needed.

Role Description

Maintenance Team Members provide janitorial services and general maintenance of warehouse and grounds.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Cleans warehouse floors, offices, break room, and restrooms by operating self-propelled floor scrubbing machinery, and by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping.
• Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties.
• Restocks supplies.
• Empties trash from designated areas throughout the warehouse.
• Pulls merchandise slip sheets and loose cardboard from sales floor.
• Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
• Checks daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.
• Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, product disposal.
• Responds quickly to clean up spills.
• Paints, replaces bulbs, maintains equipment, and performs routine repairs throughout store.
• Assists in building displays and fixtures.
• Maintains grounds outside warehouse including blowing leaves, picking up litter, roof checks, and building maintenance.
• Participates in snow and ice removal.
• Drives personal vehicle to purchase supplies and parts needed for projects.
• Provides prompt and courteous member service.
• Assists with front end duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the store as necessary.
• Operate flatbeds, carts, hand tools, pressure washer, floor scrubber, leaf blower, private vehicle, power tools, cardboard baler, trash compactor, machinery throughout store.
• Occasionally operate cash register, handheld scanners, computer, fax machine, phone, printer.
• Performs other functions as necessary or assigned.

Experience/Education:

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Janitorial experience preferred.

  * Auto raises will be provided based on straight-time hours worked until top of pay scale is reached.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00/hr (DOE)

• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Working Environment

Work is performed in a store setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment. Continuously standing, walking, reaching at/below shoulders, frequently lift/carry up to 10 pounds below waist, up to 50 pounds at waist/chest and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
