Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a facilities technician to perform and repair a wide range of plant maintenance tasks at a hospital campus. The role covers plumbing, HVAC, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep to support patient care and operational reliability.

The successful candidate will handle routine work orders, preventative maintenance, and special projects, while adhering to HIPAA and privacy policies and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Preferred 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Current state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Performs and repairs all plant, general maintenance, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs, plumbing, refrigeration, communication; maintains all hospital related equipment both plant and clinical; completes work orders and preventive maintenance work orders.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs maintenance requests as assigned throughout the facility including preventive, corrective, emergency, and project types of work orders.
• Evaluates routine and special repair requests in order to seek opportunities for improvement.
• (50%) Performs various special projects and physical plant improvements.
• (20%) Performs work on all scheduled preventive maintenance.
• (20%) Participates in the department QA process. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Stationary Engineer training 200 hours of formal schooling in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
• Preferred 3 years of facility maintenance
