Job summary

The Indianapolis-Marion County Building Authority is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and structural alterations on Building Authority properties. You will report to the Carpenter Supervisor and work on interior and exterior projects.

Responsibilities include door installation, roof maintenance, drywall, and collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and paint shops. A valid Indiana driver’s license and ability to work independently are required; the role

Qualifications

• Experience in structural and finishing carpentry.
• Preventive maintenance or repair of rubber roofs.
• Ability to work independently and flexible schedule.
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License.
• Ability to work with others including vendors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install interior and exterior doors with hardware and closers.
• Repair and maintain rubber roofs and other structures.
• Perform construction tasks with metal, wood, masonry as needed.
• Assist in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and paint shops.
• Address safety issues and follow Building Authority policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Carpenter Supervisor.
