Job summary

GMC Property Management is seeking a motivated Maintenance Make Ready Technician to join our family-owned company serving multifamily communities for over 30 years. The role focuses on make-readies, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and completing work orders under the Community Manager or Lead Maintenance.

You will repair fixtures, perform preventive maintenance, handle grounds tasks, and maintain HVAC knowledge as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance or reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass criminal background screening before employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry as needed.
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager or Lead Maintenance.
• Repair fixtures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and exterior structures.
• Complete preventive maintenance program.
• Complete grounds work such as pickup, sweeping and light landscaping.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Outside maintenance of all common areas and buildings. Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5:30pm Great opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Make Ready Technician to join our company, GMC Property Management! We are a family owned and managed company that has been in the multi-family industry for over 30 years. We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 2 years in the Maintenance Industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in make readies with electrical, plumbing, and some carpentry as needed
• Complete work orders as directed by Community Manager and or Lead Maintenance
• Repair structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
• Complete preventative maintenance program
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems is preferred but not required for this position
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

• One year of property maintenance experience preferred
• Possession of valid driver’s license and up to date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation
• Prior to employment pass criminal background screening

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work involves daily exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, humidity, wind and precipitation.
• Frequent contact with residents outside of their apartment homes including those with disabilities
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and downstairs, and able to walk the property in its entirety.
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, as needed.
